SCENE I
(Ten years ago, Vincent and Vita were in a big beautiful park. They were playing hide-and-seek.)

Vincent:    5.4.3.2.1…Are you ready? I’m coming!! Where are you? OH! I see you. Come on now. You are behind the tree. You have lost.

Vita:          (not reconciled) Oh!!! It’s too bad. I thought I could win the game.

Vincent:    Ha! Ha! You should have more practice.

Vita:          OK! Next time I will not let you find me so easily and quickly.

(Vincent suddenly holds Vita’s hand.)

Vincent:    (Smiling) I don’t know why I am always happy when I am with you.

Vita:          Yes, I have the same feeling.

Vincent:    I hope I can play with you all my life and always see your smile.

Vita:          We will always be together and never separate.

Vincent:    Yes, I think we will not separate in the future.

Vita:          (sweetly) I like you.

SCENE II

(Now Vincent, Vita and Vincent’s Sister Clare are in a small house. They are ready to move into a big house. So they are packing their luggage.)

Vincent:    Hurry up. The car is waiting for us.

Vita:          OK. I ‘m almost finished.

(Vita takes the luggage to the car.)

Clare:        I will finish soon. Too much luggage.

(This moment Clare finds an old book. She reads it.)

Clair:         What’s this? It’s like father’s diary. Some papers. Let me see. Wow!!

(She cries unexpectedly. Vincent runs to her.)

Vincent:    What happened?

Clare:        (Amazed) Look at this paper. The paper says I am not your real younger sister. I am just an adopted daughter.

Vincent:    Oh, my’ Is it true? It is unbelievable.  It happens so suddenly. But don’t worry. No matter who you are, you are my sister forever.

Clare:        (Excited) I don’t know why. Now I am not feeling sad. Actually I feel happy. I think maybe the reason is I can love you. I can marry you. It makes me so excited.

Vincent:    (seriously) What did you say? We are impossible to be together even though you are not my real younger sister. Don’t be so silly.

Clare:        Why impossible? I have loved you since I was a child. When I saw you play with Vita, I always felt jealous and sad. Now I can get hold of this chance.

Vincent:    No, I just treat you like my sister. I only love Vita. I think I can’t live with you anymore. So you live here and I will pay the rent for you.

(Clare holds Vincent’s hands.)

Clare:        (Sorrowful) No! Don’t leave me alone. I can’t live without you.

Vincent:    Sorry I should go.

(Vincent pushes Clair’s hand away and runs out the house.)

Clare:        I don’t think I can live here. But where should I go? I just know that I will never give up.

SCENE III

(Ten years later. Vincent and Vita are working in a big company. Their boss is Karen. Now they are in the office.)

Vincent:    (Tired)Wow! There is too much work. I am tired.

Vita:          We are soon to be off duty. After work, we can go to eat dinner.

(At that time Vincent’s phone is ringing.)

Vincent:    Hello….. OK. See you later. Bye-Bye.

Vita:          Who called you?

Vincent:    Our Boss. She wants me to have dinner with her. Some work stuff should be discussed. So today you have to eat dinner by yourself. 

Vita:          OK. Remember to go home early.

SCENE IV

(Vincent and Karen are in a restaurant.)

Vincent:    (politely) Hi, Boss.

Karen:      After work please call me Karen.

Vincent:    Ok. Karen, what’s the matter?

Karen:      In fact I don’t have any special things to tell you. I just want to eat dinner with you.

Vincent:    Oh. This is my honor. You are so charming and smart.

Karen:      Thanks. You are so handsome. I think…I love you.

Vincent:    (Surprised) Are you kidding? I can’t believe that.

Vincent:    Girlfriend? You mean Vita? She is just my friend.

Vincent:    Ok, my dear. I am willing to do every thing for you.

SCENE V

(Vincent and Vita are in the office.)

Vita:          (Angry) Why did you not go home last night? And your cell phone wasn’t turned on.

(Vincent doesn’t say anything.)

Vita:          (Angry) Say something!! I ask you to say something!! Are you scared?

(At the same time, Karen is walking to the office.)

Karen:      Why did you yell so loudly to my boyfriend?

Vita:          Boyfriend?

Vincent:    (Coldly) Yes, I’m her boyfriend.

Vita:          What’s happening? You have changed a lot.

(Vita slaps Vincent.)

Karen:      (Angry) What are you doing? You are so cruel. You are fired. Get out of here right now!

(Vita is very sad and runs away from the office.)

Karen:      Are you ok, Vincent?

Vincent:    OK. Don’t worry.

Karen:      By the way. This is my bankbook and stamp. You help me take care of it and make some investment..

Vincent:    (Surprised) Why do you entrust me with such important things..

Karen:      Because I trust you. I want you to use my money to earn more money.

Vincent:    Thank you. I will do my best.

(Karen leaves the office.)

Vincent:    Here comes my chance.

SCENE VI

(After one month, Vincent calls Vita.)

Vincent:    I have already got all the fortune from Karen. All the money is in my account. Now I am a rich man. I should call Vita to tell her the truth.

(Vincent takes out his cell phone and calls Vita.)

Vincent:    This is Vincent. Honey, I’m so sorry for what I have done. I have something to explain. I hope you can listen to me.

Vita:          (Coldly) Ok. Let’s meet at the coffee stop near my home after five minutes.

Vincent:    Thanks. See you later.

SCENE VII
(Vincent and Vita meet in the coffee stop.)

Vincent:    Sorry Vita. I’m very sorry to have hurt you. In fact I have some purpose. Now I’ll tell you the whole truth.

(Vincent explains the whole thing)

Vita:          You should have told me the truth before. You made me so angry. This time I forgive you but don’t do that anymore.

Vincent:    Thanks for your forgiveness. I only love you. Now I have a lot of money. Do you want to marry me?

(Vincent takes out a big diamond ring.]

Vita:          (Smiling) Yes, I do. You are the best.

SCENE VIII

(Vincent and Vita are getting married in the church.)

Clergy:    Vita do you want Vincent to be your faithful loving husband for the rest of your life?

Vita:        Yes, I do.

Clergy:    Vincent, do you want Vita to be your faithful loving husband for the rest of your life?

Vincent:  Sure…….

(At this moment Karen runs in and has taken a gun with her.)

Karen:            (Crazy) Wait!!! Vincent, you have stolen all my money. You bastard! You have to die today.

(Finish saying this sentence. Karen takes out a gun and shoot sat Vincent’s head.)

Vincent:  OH!

Vita:        (Afraid) Vincent! Vincent! Are you ok?

Vincent:  Oh! That hurts.

(Vincent is taken to a hospital. Karen runs away.)

SCENE IX

(Vincent, Vita and a doctor are in a sickroom.)

Vita:          (Worried) Doctor, is Vincent Ok?

Doctor:     It’s serious. He may become a vegetable.

Vita:          My! Does he have a chance to come around?

Doctor:     Don’t expect too much.

Vita:          (Thinking) Sorry, Vincent I don’t think I can look after you all my life. I’m still young. So I am leaving you. Don’t hate me. I want a colorful life. Bye~

(After ten years, Vincent wakes up.)

Vincent:    Where am I? Clare?? Oh, I remember. In the church…..

Clare:        (Surprised) Wow! You wake up. I’m so happy. But it’s the time for me to leave. I don’t think you want me to stay here.

Vincent:    Have you always been taking care of me?

Clare:        Sure I have.

Vincent:    For how long?

Clare:        About Ten years.

Vincent:    (Appreciated) Oh! Clare. Please don’t leave me alone. You have taken care of me for over ten years. I am very grateful to you. You are my true love.

Clare:        (Happy) Thank you Vincent. You make my dream come true. I will always love you.
